Korting 82512 TV pattern generator
I need to service this pattern generator as the performance is poor. The horizontal lines don't work anymore and the colour bar mode has flickering at the bottom of the screen. I bought it at a radio rally many years ago and I've only used it a few times. There's a couple of things that concern me, there is what I guess is a thermistor left loose inside where it could touch any component. I presume its supposed to fit on the transistor I've photographed? It must have been removed on purpose as I can't refit it without removing the metal ring.
The mains input connector has been removed with the mains lead hard wired. A three core mains lead is fitted but the earth has been cut off! Should I connect an earth? Thanks, Andrew. |

Thanks Karl, that looks almost the same so there can't be many differences between the two models. I'll study it and see how I get on.

Re: Korting 82512 TV pattern generator
Without seeing the manual or the instrument, my first guess is thast the German manual is for the version used in Germany with 5.5MHz sound offset whereas the UK version will have 6MHz offset. So there will be changes in the RF modulator section but the rest of the thing might be much the same.

Was not this imported over here as the Decca CBG?
