Default Unknown Telephone

I got a picture where I have a problem to identify the country of origin.
Anybody recognises this telephone?
It has to be French, Belgian or British?

Thanks in advance,

German Dalek

It looks a lot like a British 200-series telephone

Certainly looks like a GPO 200 to me. I did wonder whether it may have been a GEC Gecophone, but the base doesn't look deep enough to me.
