Hi Al, so pleased to see this post. Despite all what you have endured (and will continue to for hopefully not too long) it is great to see your really positive attitude. SO much to look forward to. It must be frustrating to have to work within the constraints of your health limitations, especially with the added "workshop" situation. Makes me feel privileged to be able to quickly walk upstairs to my shack at any time and carry on where I left off. Congratulations for achieving so much.

Sounds like good progress. But when you get back up into scenic mountainous areas, please promise you won't burst into song!

Ahaha! That's so unlikely as to be not a thing to worry about! Besides, up there on the Cairngorm and Ben Macduibh plateau, there's usually a bit of wind about, even if it's not a full hoolie! So whatever sounds come out of me will be suitably outshone!

Thanks, Rob! Yes, if I'm going to get all that kit out, and put it all back,
I need to have a very specific plan and high level of clarity before I even start.
And take lots of 'lab notes!'

Al, if you're still in the game for book recommendations, can I suggest Oliver Sacks' "A Leg to Stand On" - absolutely fascinating.
Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard, at first I thought that was a cunning joke! but now I see it actually exists. Thank you. I am on the look out for interesting reads, although I don't think reading about someone else making sense of their experience will necessarily be the path to making sense of mine.

I do appreciate the thought, though, thank you! I am otherwise fairly open to good reading suggestions.
