Default Bell Set No 50A. Not quite converted

Purchased a Bellset No 50A and found it had been 'converted' with a resistor.

The resistor however had been wired across the bell terminals, not in series with them.

Just as well I checked; that'll really load the ringing generators in the PBX.

Default Re: Not quite converted

I once got a reproduction 'candlestick' from the early '80s. It didn't work and rattled. It turned out that somebody had put a miniature bell straight across the line.
