Re: Details for Cossor 13PPA valve
Hi Mike
Normally the 13 series are 200mA filaments. However the 200mA pentode in that series is a 40PPA That's in a British 7 pin. I have data on it if it's the right one. Cheers Mike T

Re: Details for Cossor 13PPA valve
Hi Mike
Thanks for your reply. We seem to think the 13PPA may have been a special made for Kolster Brandes, and is possibly equivalent to the 40PPA but with a 13 volt filament and possibly about .6 to .7 amp, in order to get the cathode temperature up to the same as the 40PPA. It was used in a radio for powering off a 12v car battery, so series current was not important. thanks Mike |

Re: Details for Cossor 13PPA valve
Hi Mike
Well I have not found any record of it so far in any of my Cossor Data. There is a couple of other places I can look this evening in the archive. What sort of date are we looking at? Cheers Mike T

Re: Details for Cossor 13PPA valve
Have you got an actual specimen or just come across a reference to it?
Just curious.....

Re: Details for Cossor 13PPA valve
I have come across it in the valve list in the User Instructions for a KB radio, that I DONT have, and as far as I am aware has not been known about before. I wanted some more details on the valve for the Radio Museum.
