Re: Help needed to identify radio please.
Try these.
Spot on with the '303' idea. It's tucked away in the corner here. But the inside seems different from the one linked too. Maybe there was a more 'European' version. |

Re: Help needed to identify radio please.
Gosh. Never seen one like that. Thank you so much.
What voltage is it? My intention was / is to try and sell the radio on Ebay and I figured the difference between 'working' and 'not working' might make a considerable difference to the price. So I wanted to try and power it up, I'm guessing that battery is one you've made up yourself using an original box? The radio seems such a rare and unusual beast that it would be a shame if it wasn't with someone who has a better appreciation of it than I do. |

Re: Help needed to identify radio please.
Counting the batteries and peering at the wiring would suggest 1.5V LT and 63V (7×9V) HT.

Re: Help needed to identify radio please.
Unless you know what you're doing you'd be wise not to attempt to switch it on, but to advertise it honestly. The people who are likely to be attracted to it would see this as an advantage.

Re: Help needed to identify radio please.
BAD IDEA. The price difference between "working" and "not working" is not half as big as the price difference between "genuinely untested" and "blown up in a misguided attempt to test it".

Re: Help needed to identify radio please (Detrola 303)
Hopefully, we have averted potential damage but conversely, nothing said here will have much impact on the outcome. The radio will sell itself, given the right exposure.
