Default Site blocked by BT Parental Controls offer

The site has since sometime this afternoon been blocked by the above. Trying to decline the offer just results in the site becoming unresponsive. Typing this behind the BT screen- help!

Half an hour later and it has gone away. Don't know what that was all about.

Make sure you don't have some malware installed. This forum will never show popup messages of that type. If it is falling foul of BT screening (extremely unlikely) you won't be able to access it at all.

I have just looked and there are a few other similar instances on BT forums but not today (other web sites), could be malware or just BT having an off half hour.

edit: From info on BT website they seem to outsource this service, not an an excuse for BT but I suppose it makes it more difficult to control.

I had a similar experience on Virgin recently. I think the ISPs are being encouraged to roll out Parental Control generally. I declined it and it hasn't returned.

Yes - this happened with me too, as a Virgin customer. Around 6 weeks ago, it was.

Well , we don't want any kiddies taking the backs off their i-things and breaking them while looking for swollen electrolytics.

I've had it a couple of times on Virgin as well. It's also popped up once when looking at e-Bay.
