Default Bibliography of Gordon J. King

Last year at a book fair I bought Gordon J. King's 'Radio and Audio Servicing Handbook, Second Edition' and have found it both useful and informative. I recently was given an Amazon gift voucher and bought three more books by Mr. King.

Since these books would be a great help for anybody starting out in the hobby of radio, television and audio repair I though it would be useful if we could try and compile a full bibliography of Mr. King's work. An obituary in The Telegraph suggests that more than forty books were published along with many revised and expanded editions.

I'll start by listing the books mentioned in the inside covers of the books that I already own.

Bibliography of Gordon J. King:

Radio and Audio Servicing Handbook
F.M Radio Servicing Handbook
The Hi-Fi and Tape Recorder Handbook
Radio and Television Test Instruments
Television Servicing Handbook
The Practical Aerial Handbook
Servicing With The Oscilloscope
Rapid Servicing of Transistor Equipment
Beginners Guide to Television
Beginners Guide to Colour Television
Beginners Guide to Radio
Colour Television Servicing
Newnes Colour Television Servicing Manuals
Radio Circuits Explained
Radio, Television and Audio Test Instruments

What more can be added to the list?

This is a good idea Old Tech, particularly if a co-ordinated "Master List" results. You may have seen all the other references on here already. One or two people have compiled short lists in the past. I remembered that I was on the thread started by switcher... Gordon J. King... on 22/5/10.
As this went on it was realised that Gordon had died [22/7/17] and after doing a search, his Grandaughter was very touched to discover Forum members discussing him in such admiring terms.

There's (at least) another one he wrote under nom de plume, which I have but as it's early I can't recall the name of the book or the name he used. The Audio Technicians (Engineers?) Workbench Manual or something like that.

I remembered, the name was 'John Earl'. The accompanying Radio Technicians Bench Manual by HW Hellyer is also good but just not quite GJK.

Hellyer's style was a little stiff in books at times, but his articles for Tape Recorder (particularly Tape Recorder Service) are models of the art of conveying technical information in a readable and memorable way.
