Old Weller De soldering station
I just wanted to share this after taking a trip to my parents place and going through my old shed there.
This used to belong to my uncle who sadly passed away in the 90s aged only 45, he used to run a very good electronics and software business. It was given to me by my aunt and I used to use it alot and still have many spares for it. I only stopped using it when I found some decent desoldering wick. I hope it's still working ok, but I'll need to give it a clean up first. |

Re: Old Weller De soldering station
I obtained one of those recently and managed to find some info and carry out a repair, spares are now starting to get hard to find but the filters are still available. I hope it still gives you good service.

Re: Old Weller De soldering station
I fired this up yesterday for the first time in well over 10 years. Still works a treat, vacuum could be a little stronger, but it works.

I have one of these, had it for over 20 years & it's stlill going.
I agree that the vacuum is a little weak, but as long as you keep the nozzles clean it should be o.k. David. |

Re: Old Weller De soldering station
I got one of these back in the mid 80's.
Had pretty heavy use until the pump motor packed up after a few years. Still sitting in a box somewhere in the shed, one of those 'I'll get round to fixing it one day' jobs. |
