Default National Valve museum

Hi peeps..... Have I missed something If I try to log onto the National Valve Museum.. it is coming up with some...www type -R site.

Maybe one or two of you can help. in my eddy S750 the Audio output valve was damaged. I used the N78 from my 888..... and it was ok.... however when I fitted its "equivalent" 6AQ5/ EL90..... into the 888.... I get flashing and popping at the internal pin base.
Re fitting the N78 back into the 888... normal ??
As I cannot check via the Valve museum... I hope you guys can help.

Same here!
Perhaps they forgot to renew their domain rental. Same thing happened to our club.
I would really miss them if they went, always use the web site even though I have their DVD.

The museum must only just have gone off line, I cannot use it now but is was ok earlier this morning.
I will have a look at what valve info I have but may lack the ones you need.

Dohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Found Radio Museum..... and the answer to my problem..

N78, has pin 6 as N/C 6AQ5 has pin 6 as G2 and Pin 7 as G as well as Pin 1

The eddystone data sheets originally stated that the N78 and the 6AQ5 were the same.

Must have been a typo... long ago.

Thanks Frank

Just have the same info and was about to post, however the site Lawrence posted is another good site for valve information, in fact the valve museum credits a lot of the data from that site.

I use both those sites all the time (most recently yesterday). They are both excellent sites with different merits.

I do hope this loss of the Nation Valve Museum is not permanent.

That's extremely worrying. I use that site very regularly- it's part of my ongoing learning curve re valve electronics- I should guess that 50% (at least) of what little I do know I learnt from that site. Is any member here connected with it?

I wouldn't worry...
a) An administrative cock up, registration expired, soon back after payment.
b) If someone has 'hijacked' it (the domain name, not content) during the lapse (popular ones often are) it will re appear under a slightly different name.

The internet is a bit of a cowboy effort, and expect it to be so.

Too early to worry, it's bank holiday, a privately run site and computer networks break.
The owner no doubt will get it sorted out when they can.

Lawrence.
Clicking on that link now is showing something but not everything, maybe it's starting to be reloaded? I know zilch about these things.

Looks like the front page/ index page is giving trouble, navigation to other links on that page work.
Try tomorrow or the day after, plenty other things to do on a bank holiday and the sun is shining.
