Pye export radio and Hitachi TV
I spotted these yesterday in a shop .Anyone recognise them and possible buying price?
The radio has 6 SW and 1 MW bands and labelled with places in the Far East and India. The cabinet looks plastic and made by Pye of Cambridge. |

Re: Pye export radio and Hitachi TV
£10-£20 each would be my maximum, though shops sometimes have bizarre ideas of worth - as do some punters for that matter.
I do rather like the little telly, in its pretty red cabinet. Sets like this were a pound a piece until very recently... but when did you last see one for sale? The vast majority seem to have disappeared forever. When comparing with eBay etc. prices, do bear in mind that if the shop's local, your postage/packing costs will be nil, as will the chances of the equipment being wrecked in the post. It might be worth paying slightly over the odds because of this. N. |

Re: Pye export radio and Hitachi TV
I have found out the owner wants £40 for the Tv and also for the radio! The Tv functions as far as I can test without a signal.
