Grundig TK18 reel to reel, no sound - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Late brother's machine acquired. Will not have been used for years .Power working, spools will turn but no sound. Any advice please or repairers in Birmingham area.

First thing check the speaker on/off switch at rear of machine is working.

Hello Doffery. Doesn't appear to be a speaker switch. No mention of one in the manual either I'm afraid

You must have the earlier version Elaine, however await any reply from a person in your area, alas I am on the NW coast.
