While you are experimenting try a few new silicon ones, you never know they may sound better.

Oc139 is a great alternative. The kind im looking for is:
Nkt275, oc71, ac128, oc45, ac127, ac122, ac153, oc75, and 2sa... and 2sb... types. I have to check the datasheet for these since im not too familiar with the specs on these japanese transistors.

I have a few NOS OC44 and a couple of pulls with short leads, about a dozen NOS OC71 and four NOS BC108. Also have a bunch of NSO OC72 if they're any use. The yellow jacket OC44's I'll keep for vintage repairs.

Thomas, I presume you're now happy with Joe's contribution?

If you PM me your address, I'll send a few (measured wtihin spec), in exchange for a small donation to this site costs.

MOD: how does one contribute?

You can't contribute directly. The forum raises some funds by selling downloads and DVDs of service data, so you could contribute that way. Otherwise, I'm sure the Vintage Wireless Museum would appreciate a donation, or you could join the British Vintage Wireless Society. The forum isn't directly connected with either of those organisations though.

Im very happy. This member is too kind. I tried to offer Joe money for it but he insisted he would give them too me. This is the first time someone has ever offered me something for free even when offered money for it. One proper gentleman he is indeed. Thanks a lot Joe. I stick a picture of the things he's sending me. Cheers. I owe you a beer.
