Default Southern Vintage Radio Meet

For a couple of years a small bunch of like-minded folk have been meeting up a few times a year to chat about our various electronic passions, see our collections and projects and have lunch together.

There's a thread over on Golborne suggesting that it's time for another meet-up in the new year. Possibly in N London in January. No date as yet, just seeing who can come.

These meet-ups started being organised via the VRAT forum a couple of years ago but now include anyone who has an interest in vintage electronics, on any forum.

The thread is here http://golbornevintageradio.co.uk/fo...d.php?tid=5224 on the Golborne site. It's in the "Lounge", so please register if you haven't already, and post there regarding coming to the meet-up.

Hoping to see lots of UKVRRs, VRATs and others there.

all the best
Jeremy

That's a crazy site. I signed up many moons ago but since then it will not accept my password. The site then asks for an e-mail address so that a new password can be sent but when I put it in (double checked for correctness) it tells me my email address is invalid. Errr I don't think so!

Back on topic:

OK, fellow UKVRR/VRAT/GVR enthusiasts...

We finally have a date - Sunday March 20th, at my house (postcode GU25).

So far we have as attendees:
Me (pamphonica)
Brian (Brianc)
Jeffrey (ppppenguin)
Terry (Terry)
Mike (Crackle)
Mark (Mark Henessey)
Brian Summers (Beamcurrent)
Hamid (Hamid_1) - if he can

Please post here if you want to come and I will send a group PM to attendees with details closer to the date.

Basically I suggest we kick off at 1100-1130 and stroll down to the pub for lunch at about 1230.

I will organise some tables (inside) so stuff can be sold or displayed. I will have some rummage boxes of stuff for sale for Museum funds donations and you are welcome to contribute.

Looking forward to seeing you all here in March.

Jeremy

I have the following booked to attend on Sunday.
If you are NOT coming please let me know asap, as I need to confirm the pub booking and Sunday is always booked solid. I have 12 places booked already but they can squeeze in 2 more maximum if required. It's a tiny pub!
See you on Sunday
All the best

Great to meet everyone today, special thanks to Jeremy for hosting & the many cups of tea. I sorted my Racal 836 by re-seating some of the pcbs, it's working fine again.
