I did it on another forum last year. Looking at the colour of the water after heating with copper electrodes I'm not brave enough to find out what it tastes like...

When heating the water with the stainless steel spoons it did noticeably change the taste of the water, though it looked clean this time.

I wired a small 3 phase steam generator a few years ago that heated the water with electrodes. The unit had to drain the heater frequently, to prevent the concentration of something becoming too high. I guess what is left behind when you boil water...
