Transistor gender
I thought this subject may (or not ) generate a light hearted, even humorous, discussion.
In another thread I referred to a particular NPN transistor and "its PNP brother". I could, just as easily have said and "its PNP sister". So, here is the question; if you were to assign gender to NPN and PNP, which way round would you do it and why. |

Re: Transistor gender
I've never thought of it before, but I think I'd regard the NPN as male and the PNP as female.
