Hi

Can anyone tell me the I.F. frequency for this set please?

Given its date, probably 465KHz or thereabouts. Does it work at all? If so you could listen for the LO signal on another set to get a rough idea.

Many postwar Portadyne sets were 450KHz, with a small handful of oddities at 456KHz. However, I think the A548 is an early postwar set, so may just cling onto the prewar 112KHz.

If you are able to follow Chris's suggestion and it turns out to be 400-and-something, then I'd think 450KHz is a pretty safe bet. Someone else may be able to say definately what it is in the meantime, of course.
