Darius's Standards converter Coil Info Wanted
Hi!
I've collected together all Darius's plans (Member Oldeurope I believe) but unfortunately he hasn't shown any info on how to wind the inductors in his System A modulator! Wire gauge? Number of turns? Diameter of coil? I can see from his pictures most of them seem to be self-supported air-cored coils, if anyone has sucessfully made one of these modulators and can post or PM-me the coil instructions I'd be very grateful! I'd send him an e-mail via the forum. He's a helpful chap and is bound to reply.

Re: Darius's Standards converter Coil Info Wanted
Think I used 5 turns of 20swg spaced about 1mm, on a 6mm mandrel.....

Re: Darius's Standards converter Coil Info Wanted
Hi, I've just noticed this thread.
Sean is right. I used a griddipmeter to find out a nice coil. Kind regards, Darius |
