T/V Chokes
These were in a bag of assorted components that I bought at a rally earlier in the year. Not being "into" televisions I have no idea what they were used for or why their current rating was more important than their inductance. Can someone explain please?

Re: T/V Chokes
I think these are more "supressors for TV interference" rather than "parts for TV's". The current rating thus defines where they might be used, with their inductance being appropriate to reduce interference at TV frequencies.

Re: TV Chokes
Thank you, you're right of course. I should have realised that but the T/V labelling threw me.

Re: T/V Chokes
Might be good for keeping plt, adsl and other modern sources of noise out of equipment though?

Re: T/V Chokes
They are basically RF Chokes, so might minimise interference from plt, adsl, smpsus, etc.
