Thanks Chris.

Having one to show the chaps in Extra in Oxford always helps. They know their stuff, but I don't think they have encountered any of the DAC range

It's a SBC pygmy I think. If you have a look and it's noticeably smaller than a normal light bulb socket, then it's SBC. The ones sold for older sewing machines should be fine. You don't want anything with a screw thread.

Hi Martin

This is a picture of the original lamp. I think the generic term for them is sewing machine lamps.

Also if you managed to release those barbed spring steel clips I would be most grateful on any tips as the best way to do it.
