WAVETEK 7580.3A Attenuator
Hi,
I'm searching for some info about a WAVETEK 7580.3A - switchable Attenuator 75 Ohm, 0-81dB, 0.5W It contain 3 separate switches connected with BNC cables in between. Input/Output connectors are ?? (looks like a big TNC) Thanks Peter |

Re: WAVETEK 7580.3A Attenuator
The connectors look like N type. They are almost certainly 75 ohm N type which will be damaged if you try to insert 50 ohm N plugs. The centre pin of the 50 ohm N type is fatter than on the 75 ohm.

That connector looks like an SHF Major, 519-9823. The mating part is 519-9812. Both 75 ohms. The NATO stock numbers refer to inter-series connectors, ie only one half of a complete connector.

Hi Peter,
Are these not the so called "F-Connector" http://www.satspeed.com/de/shop/sat-...er-f-connector, they're commonly used in 75 Ohm Video/TV/Cable technik. K. |

Karesz,
it's not a "F"-type, it's a little bit smaller than "N" Peter |
