Tracking weight
Hi.
The tracking weight spring on the tone arm as gone missing. I have a Dansette Challenge 100. Where can i get another? Or are they unattainable? Hoddbod |

Re: Tracking weight
Without a photo from you to confirm, the autochanger in your Dansette is most likely to be a BSR UA15 unit. You will need to source a small spring, long enough to link through the hole in the metal piece at the base of the arm and the locating metal bar about halfway up the underside of the arm. You just push the spring onto this bar. Measure the length and get a spring about 3/4s of that length to give enough sprung tension. You can buy a selection of springs off the Web.

Re: Tracking weight
Post a photo and dimensions and I'll take a look in my little stash of odd springs.

Re: Tracking weight
Classic signature and one worthy of many of us no doubt; is it original?

Re: Tracking weight
Errr - post a photo of the underside of the tonearm with dimensions of the gap to be bridged by the spring......was what I should have written for the benefit of all readers. Hopefully the OP gets my meaning
