Default Drift on my Bush DAC90A?

Is this normal, when I switch my radio on I find the channel it was previously tuned to has drifted slightly out of tune and I have to fine tune the channel again. One would think if its dialled in then it should stay in tune no?

Default Re: Drift on my Bush DAC90A?

I would not be surprised that a DAC 90A was slightly out of tune when switched on. The set warms slowly after switching on unlike transistor radios. This causes the local oscillator to drift during warm-up. When it was last switched off the set would have been quite warm.

The frequency is not actually dialed-in to select the channel as in much more modern radios.
