Default BVWM Tabletop sale

On the BVWS calendar there is a Tabletop sale listed on 13th April, but this is not found on the BVWS events page or here on the calendar page. Has this event been cancelled/rescheduled/entered in error? Also, can anyone tell me if there is any car parking in the area?
Thanks,
Tony

I hope so as I wll be going. The only parking would be on Rosendale Road.

I usually go by train and come back with a few goodies.

Regards
Robin

I will email Mike to check. I did the website from the list in the latest bulletin, and it's not included in that.

Perhaps someone can call the museum to ask, too?

Parking on the road is free, but you may well end up a quarter of a mile away......

I guess another thing i need to know is the address. Probably the museum address isn't given as usually one needs to arrange to visit, and this event is BVWS member's only too. But surely not everyone needs to ring up. I hesitate to say this, and it's only in the spirit of trying to make things clearer, but I find myself asking obvious questions every time I go to a BVWS event ... isn't there somewhere such information could be listed? (details of many things are listed on the BVWS website under 'events'). In all other respects the organisation is brilliant, the time put in so generously awesome, and it all very much appreciated. So how do I find out where to go, folks?

Hello,

An advert for the Table Top Sale (11am Sunday 13th April, Admission £3 ) was included as a separate sheet with the BVWS Bulletin.

There is an advert for the museum which gives the address in, at least the last two, and probably most earlier editions of the Bulletin itself.

I think they don't want to give the address, to stop people from turning up without an appointment.

Yours Richard

The Museum Table Top Sale is definitely still on!

I must point out that this is NOT a BVWS organised event. It is organised by the Museum but we support the Museum in every way we can and advertise any events for them.

Every BVWS member has the address of the Museum (see page 60 of Spring Bulletin).
As Mr Moose points out, Every BVWS member received a flyer in the last Bulletin with all details of this event.
The event is open to everyone. You do not have to be a BVWS member nor a member of the Museum "friends Group". Everyone is welcome. That is both as stall holder and visitor on the day.

The BVWS will be attending with a stall fully loaded with goodies and also all of the usual Capacitor stocks.

We hope to see many forum members there on the day.

Mike...

I did too. Thanks Mike. Hope to be there too. I needed to be sure as it's a bit of a trek to S London from here!

This table top sale and other museum events from the calendar are now on the BVWS website and added to the forum calendar. I hadn't realised the list in the bulletin didn't include most of the museum ones.

I have heard from the Museum today that this event should be a good one.
All of the usual suspects are having tables and a few more (including the BVWS table)

There are still a few spaces left, so if you want to take a car full of stuff to sell, then this is an ideal event to watch it fly off your table.
Most things don't hang around too long as prices are usually very reasonable.

Event is this coming Sunday!

A chance to have a good look around the Museum, and a chat to Gerry over tea and biscuits.

Come and see the newly restored 405 line TV's running in their new home, why not bring one along for everyone to see!

Yes certainly bring one along and we can run it up on the distribution system. I very much hope to be present but the gearbox in my Ford Ranger is making EHT arcing noises and is booked in next week. If all alse fails I will bring the L/Rover. Regards, John.

It was great fun as usual. Quite a bit of friendly junk exchanged hands. I powered up the TV section and had a good display.
I uncovered a box of new EL34's that were selling for 10P each. A bargain I reckon.
Got back 8.30. Richard cooked the food on his barbi. It made the day! John.
