This is an interesting bit of footage on the British Pathe site.

Great bit of uplifting wartime film! They were probably working on military equipment. I doubt if those gas masks would have been of much use if the Germans had actually dropped gas bombs. Production of domestic receivers was all but extinct by the end of 1940. Thanks for posting. John.

Great find. it's an interesting watch I must say. I reckon they're working on military equipment in that film. Definitely not domestic sets they're building.
