Has to have an accompaniment ... I mean amongst all the angst and lost love of a pop tune, Jimmy Webb writes one of the greatest - about wires. ..The fade out is something very special IMHO

I liked telephone poles until I lived in a small village in Hertfordshire for a year. I had to move in the end because there was a pole 20 feet away from my window that creaked all night. Didn't sleep for a year! Phoned BT at the time and they sent an engineer out who was most unimpressed about everything. Found it was rotten so they replaced it. New one creaked as well

Can't stand the sight of the things now.

I have always wanted a big pylon and build a house inside, an ersatz Lloyds building.
