Radiobelle 47 restoration
Ancient novice in need of help here, all suggestions will be most welcome.
I picked up a Radiobelle 47 from my son's house in Belgium and would love to restore it. Looks complete and the cabinet is in good condition. I have found some capacitors stamped with a date of manufacture, they were made on the day I was born so you can understand my wish to get it going again. So - firstly I would like a schematic of the workings, how do I go about finding a source? The paper caps can easily be brought up to date but what do you experts do about the 16+16μF 450v? Are modern tubular electrolytics going to be up to the job? I need to get myself some french polishing lessons too. Thanks in advance for any help. Tony |

Re: Radiobelle 47 restoration
Elektrotanya have the schematic for the 48a which is the gramophone version, I think the chassis and schematic is basically the same as the 47 so far as I can make out from the Radiomuseum pics.

Hi Tony
You can get a dual electrolytic capacitor of the value you require from Jellyfish Audio, they are excellent and more than capable for the job in hand, and I must say at a reasonable price. Ken |

Re: Radiobelle 47 restoration
Thanks for the info ms660 - I now have the circuit.
Nuvistor - Crawthorne have sold out of 16+16 Ken - I can fit 2 seperate 16μF in the old can, cheaper that 16+16. Ordered from Jellyfish, thanks. Tony |
