Default Ferguson Videostar 3V29

Hello.

Does anyone have and detailed pictures of the insides or a copy of the service manual? I took mine apart ages ago and cannot remember how it goes together.

Thanks

This Ferguson is a clone of the JVC HR-7300. Did you remove every circuit board from the unit?

Wasn't it the HR-7200?

Both the 7200 and 7300 appear to look the same.

Crikes, if you're having trouble re-assembling the service manual, what are you going to be like when you take the video apart ?! LOL

They certainly do.

But the HR-7300 was sold as the Ferguson 3V30, and differed in that it had Dolby NR and a multi-event timer.

Superb article on them (as a PDF) here: https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...2&d=1401009755

Nick.

Bear in mind that later models lack the PCB at the front of the cassette mechanism. Been years since I last saw one so can't recall the function of the original panel which was integrated with another in later production. In the stereo JVC HR 7350, more commonly encountered as the Baird/DER 8940, utilised the vacated space for the stereo circuitry PCB.

Add photos of the "left over" parts. Somebody is sure to know where they go.

Hi,

I have just collected a 3V29 from a customer for repair so if you can post a picture of the parts then I will try to see where they go. I have a manual ..... somewhere.

Best wishes, Geoffrey.
