Default Tonearm return problem

Hi

I have a Grundig Mandello with an AG1035 turntable. The problem I have is when the arm returns at the end of playing it returns to where it should, but then just before it drops it goes slightly forward and misses its stand. It has not done this before. Any ideas what this might be?

Thanks, Stephen.

The turntables in these Grundigs are made by Philips and are not easy (based on my experience) to fix. Does this mean the arm now falls onto the deck plate or does it just hang in mid air just short of the rest?

Thanks - but does it still stay suspended or does it drop all the way down and hit the deck?

Thanks. Given the stylus is protected by not hitting the deck, I would tend to leave as is. These decks are known to be quirky to work on, and if you don't have the Philips manual for it, I would leave well alone.
