Bulgin Plug Socket Used For??
This NOS but I do not have a clue what it was used for,unless Aerial plug and socket.The pins are flat.

I believe it was called a 'Domina' connector. They were used for connections between modules, etc, the idea was that you could stack them (on one mouting screw) or fix them to the chassis side-by-side to make up a connector with any even number of pins. I think there were 2 sizes.

I can confirm Tony's answer as correct. They are on pages 84/85 of my 1969 Home Radio catalogue.
Domina Type P490 (plug) and P491 (socket) are 7/8" x 1" x 3/8" Baby-Domina Type P501 (plug) and P502 (socket) and P503 (non-reversible, one pin and one socket) are 11/16" x 21/32" x 5/16" There were also covers available so they could be used at the end of a cable. |
