Manual for Marconi TF2000
Hi,
I've just purchased this unit non-working and I'm struggling to find any circuit diagrams or manuals online for it, does anyone have a manual or circuit they could upload or email to me? Thanks Charles |

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
Yeah I might have to bite the bullet and buy it, I'm a bit begrudged to pay a company for something like that though, if I do end up buying it I'll be sure to post it here.
Thanks for taking the time to look |

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
Have a look at the oscillator part of the Marconi TF2331 Distortion factor meter, whose schematics are available online. It covers the same range in the same frequency bands so might use the same or similar circuit.

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
I am not too happy with Mauritron, They had for sale on the well known auction site a PDF of a manual for the Gould DSO400 that I scanned and shared free a manual site.
I emailed them and had a go, so they removed it. Daniel. |

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
Dickie, as far as I can tell the TF2331 doesn't contain an oscillator?
Thanks |

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
Yes you're right. I dunno where I got that idea from
However, I also have a TF2000 (fortunately working) and although the individual modules are not identified I am sure they are a TF2100 AF Source and TF2160 monitored attenuator. Assuming that this is the case both of these modules are covered by the TF2005R manual. TF2005R comprises two AF sources and one attenuator. The TF2005R manual might be available from other members of this forum if you ask them nicely. See https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?p=359341

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
Thank you! My colleague at work actually just made the exact same discovery and found the manual listed on google, I'll post a link here when I grab it!

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
I've managed to dig the circuit diagrams up out of the abyss, they say TF2001 on the bottom but seem to match perfectly. Is there anywhere else I should post these to make sure no-one else struggles?

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
Thanks, they will be useful. But note they say TF2100 on the bottom. You might like to rename your pdf to avoid continuing confusion!

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
For anyone who is interested in distinguishing the instruments discussed above, I attach images for:
TF2000 AF Signal Source TF2005R Two-Tone Signal Source TF2100M AF Ocillator taken from the 1975-6 MI catalogue As Dickie says, the TF2000 contains a TF2100 module, and the TF2005R has both. The 2100 would make an ideal source for use with the TF2331 Distortion Factor Meter. |

Re: Manual for Marconi TF2000
Aha, thank you Julesomega,
Have TF2100 SN/52398/39 and always wondered why Marconi would make an instrument without calibrated output as in TF 2331A. mine is in its own enclosure without options. Measures 0.03% @ 1000Hz distortion on a Hameg HM8027. Would love to see schematics. Regards all Renato |
