Yes I was surprised that it's not listed in WFTW's Mike but this thread [with your photos now] will be an info source. I think I'll pm VMARS to see if there IS a 1481 manual available for the "chapter 2 "section.

I've e-mailed VMARS to ask if they do have a manual
Correction-the ref No I gave in p18* should be 2113

Remember that names of applicants to join VMARS have to appear in the Newsletter before application is accepted, so there is a bit of a delay.

I'm thinking of joining myself. The demise of Radio Bygones [although it's conjoined with the Radiophile now] leaves me with a spare subscription in a sense. That would be my excuse anyway

The Archivist at VMARS has responded very promptly to my enquiry. He confirms that [despite the heading] there is no R1481 info downloaded to the on-line catalogue. However and very helpfully, he is going to check out the physical archive asap [possibly this weekend] to see if he can find anything of relevance.

Just to complete. Colin, the Archivist at VMARS, very kindly made a trip to the store and has now added Chapter 2 [R1481] to the R1132A receiver info at No 2113 in the their Documents List. It does now follow on from the 1132A manual [or should-I had some problems]. It downloaded eventually but I've no idea why]. The ten page manual confirms that the 1481 was a lower frequency modification of the original 1132A.

As a follow-up, I note that your name/call-sign appear in the list of applications for membership in the latest VMARS Newsletter, so you've not been forgotten!
