Default Philips TV service info

Hi.

My old Philips flat screen CTV has quietly died after many yers of faithful service, looks like a fault in the primary side of the SMPS. While its replacement is far more technologically advanced it sadly lacks the quality of the Philips which I'm loathe to consign to the recycling tip while there is a chance of a repair.

So, does anyone have a schematic of even a replacement power board for a Philips 26PFL5522D/05?

Greg.

Hi Greg.

There seems to be the correct manual here: https://www.electronica-pt.com/esque...ileinfo/18496/

I managed to download it successfully unlike on some service manual websites.

Regards
Symon.

Hi symon,

There's a YouTube vid of someone fixing a 32" version with a psu fault. Sorry can't seem to copy the link using my mob phone.

Check the PSU for 'swollen' capacitors, that's the usual problem.

Hi peter,
the psu caps look fine unfortunately, looks like the Dumpster for this old set as space is limited.
many thanks for all the help and suggestions.
greg.

Hi, before you do, try warming the psu with a hairdryer and then see if it turns on. I had this problem with my Philips set where it would only work in summer or when warm. It just needed 2 resistors and 2 caps changing... did you look at that youtube vid where it was a blown diode?

Ni nicam,
yes indeed I did look at that video, I've already checked for any short circuit diodes etc and all the caps look fine at least visually although an esr check may say otherwise, the psu doesn't seem to be in overcurrent mode it just isn't working, when I get a spare hour or two i'm going to make more detailed checks, the right manual would be very handy.

There's a psu on eBay 4.99 + 5 postage
https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWER-SUPPL...gAAOSwnGJWSdGb
eBay item number = 221942549176
I see that the same seller also has the other psu board, the one with the metalwork.
