Default Marconi 1193K Receiver

Marconi 1193k. I have just converted this beautiful young lady? from 24 volt vibrator to mains with a nice potted transformer. Working well no problems so far.

Just need some information about it. No government markings, so was it just a general ships radio.
A diagram would be helpful as I can not find one on the net. ( pity they don't use the same paint on modem gear its still like new )

It looks very Marconi to me. Name plate missing from case. Round knob seems to had been added at some time. On small plate has mimc on net it came up as Marconi morse keys so seems to be Marconi

Nice! But what a fascinating way of integrating a loudspeaker and a tuning-display.

Thanks for your help. Even the chassis is unusual it's an ally frame with each section screwed to the chassis crossmember looks like patchwork from the top. That's what I like. Built for the job not to a price. A thing we will never see again.

It's also known as the Marconi Guardian. I didn't realise until I saw the picture.I've got one I've been planning to build a transmitter into when I can get round to it.

Once the internal PSU and the DF circuitry is out there'll be room to make it into a 160/80 metre AM transceiver.

It's been waiting for over 20 years to be done.

I have the manual and so does vmars so it should be easy to download for anyone who needs it.
