Default Recommended Component Suppliers.

This thread can be used to post details of recommended component suppliers.

Include such details as web, or postal, address and telephone number of each supplier, plus a brief description of what that supplier supplies. Please indicate if the company is located outside the UK. Do not compare one supplier with another. No duplicates please. Let us know if the information is out of date.

To help you search quickly for the component(s) you require, please use "Search this thread" entering the name of your requirement as the keyword.

Mouser are a similar operation to RS and Farnell, and very popular with American hobbyists. They are based in the US but have a UK facing website with £ pricing:

Another good supplier:

Cricklewood Electronics
http://www.cricklewoodelectronics.co...ewood/home.php

Well they've been good for me anyway. Inclusion here does not mean this site is responsible for individual transactions etc etc.

Cheers,

Steve P.

Mode Components based in Birmingham

http://www.modecomponents.co.uk/

It helps if you email with order details and they can reply with the latest prices and stock availability. Probably the same as on their website.

They're very good for obsolete and obscure semiconductors. If they haven't got what you want, it's worth asking to see if they can get it.

Pete.

Always worth keeping an eye on Surplectronics.
A relatively limited range of surplus items, but sometimes have some interesting components in small bulk quantities.
