Default Re: Sinclair Z12

Not being a fan of Sir Clive's circuits I satisfied myself with a pair of Dinsdale designed 10 watt amplifiers using OC28's in those days. However one of my fellow electronics university students was facinated with the switching circuitry used in these Sinclair amps and acquired a pair. He managed to get them to work and a few days later was talking to a neighbour to the digs where he lodged. She complained that her radio wasn't working well and asked if he could have a look at it. He found nothing wrong, but learned that the problem was intermittent severe interference. Further enquiry revealed that the periods of this interference coincided precisely with the times he used his Sinclair amps! Needless to say, said amps were rapidly withdrawn from service!
