Default Re: Akai VT-110 reel-to-reel monochrome VTR

I've followed Steve's instructions (thanks Steve) and removed the deck from the case. In the unlikely case of anyone else doing this, please note that there is also a need to remove the tracking knob screw and knob (step 8a) before the deck will finally come from the case.

I've had a look at the deck and have found that the square section belt driving the take-up reel is broken and an idler tyre (possibly only used for ff and re-winding the tape) has turned to black gunge. Other belts and idlers appear ok as they have not yet turned to gunge or broken.

Does anyone know whether generic idler tyres to fit an estimated 19mm diameter wheel are still available?

I also need a square section belt with a 2mm side and 150mm circumference.

Ron
