Hello there,

The reliability of the TV22 should be very good. Many of the problem components (i.e wax capacitors) have been replaced and valves usually last a suprisingly long time before their performance falls off. As long as you don't cause too much mechanical vibration or put it somwhere where it has little ventilation (gets too hot) it should last many years of good service.

As a resonable amount of use to prolong the life of the CRT an hour or 2 a week would be ok. As a precaution don't leave the set running whilst out of the room for longish periods in case of any faults that suddenly appear.
