Hello John,

thanks a lot for your posting about the focus problems with a gould 1604.

I had the same problem, focus was so bad, the characters were nearly unreadable.
I replaced the 10 µF caps for +/- 12 V and the focus was perfect again.

Without your information, I would have done a very long and difficult search.
