Hi,
I think (I may be wrong) that "Grelco" was one of the few companies that made two way adaptors for two 15amp plugs especially for theatre use. Possible out of tough rubber.
I have a bakelite two way 15amp adaptor made by "Clang". Never seen another one, though. It's on the right of the picture.
