Willand Event

Just to say how nice it was to see so many familiar faces at Willand on Sunday. It was a bit low on attendance and there were not so many stalls as previous years but a pleasant event nonetheless. In attendance were Neil Wilson of Washford Cross radio museum, Patrick Cooke of Williton bakelite museum as well as the proprietor of the Montacute radio and television museum.
I imposed a strict self rule that I should not buy anything until I have sold enough from my stall to make space at home :D. Although I did not sell very much, I made off with a French Philips late 50s midget set and a Ferranti 547 from the auction.
Good to see the committee there. My stall became a bit of a BVWS test-bed with committee members trying out all of the radios in turn ;D, yes it takes a lot of turns to get a Baygen Freeplay to work :-D.
Thanks to Barrie Philips for another great event :).
Neil
