HI

Well I think I,v got a right one here ?. I've been given this by a old chap. It was in his loft (they all are!). Anyway. I thinking of getting it running. What was it used in / for. Any info for will be nice. I also have the ant tuner 24-LRU-52C. I think this is going to be a tall order. But lets see...

Ah, They are part of a radiosystem called STR 18C, An airborne HF medium range transmitter.

Very nice if you can get it going, but sadly you are missing more of the modules that go with it.

Mid fifties design, used on commercial aircraft of the period.

Might be worth getting in touch with Colin Guy (G4DDI) at VMARS - he has one, and as far as I know is also trying to get it on the air.

Cheers
